轴线是建筑工程施工图中的轴线是定位放线的重要依据。为了明确表示建筑物的某一部分的位置并清楚表明局部与整体的关系。在墙、柱、梁、屋架等主要承重构件的中心线处作为定位轴线，并编上轴线号。轴线是用点划线表示的，端部画有圆圈，圆圈内注明编号。水平方向用阿拉伯数字1、2、3、4、5……由左至右顺次编号; 垂直方向用大写的汉语拼音字母A、B、C、D、E、F…由下而上依次编号。水平方向的轴线表示开间尺寸; 垂直方向的轴线表示进深尺寸。
