外尔（Hermann Weyl，1885年11月9日-1955年12月8日）是近代的德国数学家，20世纪上半叶最重要的数学家之一。1908年获博士学位。1913年受聘为瑞士苏黎世的联邦工学院教授。1930年回哥廷根继承希尔伯特的教授席位。1933年任哥廷根数学研究所所长，同年应聘担任美国普林斯顿高等研究院教授。1951年退休。他的早期工作在分析学方面。1913年发表的著作《黎曼曲面的概念》，第一次给黎曼曲面奠定了严格的拓扑基础。1915─1933年，他研究与物理有关的数学问题，对以后发展起来的各种场论和广义微分几何学有深远影响。
